Right... something more current to start off.
RP and H1N1. It just doesn't go well together at all. It is a bloody confined air-conditioned place which spreads the virus so much more easily. Sending just the year 1 home for 1 week no use since by then many people would have caught it. Merely speculation? Please see the increase in cases so far after the first confirmed case.
Thursaday 2nd July 2009 Straits Times Page A6. 86 cases. So you see there is really no logic behind that move.
And now for the most controversial, our 'beloved' principal, Yeo Li Pheow, has introduced the new! 'staggered' break times :
Year 1 - 9.45 am to 10:05 am
11.15 am to 12.00 pm [Lunch]
Year 2 - 10.15 am to 10.35 am
12.15 pm to 1.00 pm [Lunch]
Year 3 - 10.45 am to 11.05 am
1.15 pm to 2.00 pm [Lunch]
Let me first quote from his letter : the A-H1N1 virus cannot survive beyond eight hours.
Look at the time slots now. No more than 1 hour between each cohort! Some year 1 and 2 might be infected but show no symptoms or fever then go makan. What next? Year 3s will be there to soak up whatever virus they left behind. Awesome...just awesome.
Well that's it marn. It's just 1 post a day being lazy me. If there are 2 in the future maybe then I'm not so lazy for that day.
